Workshop: Using Google Analytics
The June Triad Web Meetup is going to be about using the new Google Analytics interface. Google Analytics is a free tool which provides you with reports about your website visitors. How many visitors you get, where they came from, what pages they look at, keywords they used to find your site and much more. It’s an extremely valuable tool to measure the effectiveness of your website and learn how to make it better.
Google released a completely revamped interface to their analytics tool in May 2007. We’ll go through setting up the analytics tool for your website and how to get the most out of the reports.
What: Using Google Analytics
When: June, 6th 2007 7:00pm - 8:30pm

John, the presentation was a good review of the product. I enjoyed it, and picked up a couple things to take with me. It’s great to be able to spread the word like you are doing. Got a topic for next month?
The open source projets that I mentioned that are similar to Crazy Egg are:
http://www.labsmedia.com/clickheat/index.html
and
http://blog.corunet.com/english/the-definitive-heatmap
I’ve not used these products, and I was not sure about the best way to inform those interested without blasting an email to the meetup group, but I thought people might come across it here as well.
Many thanks as always.
Thanks so much Brandon. No topic for next month just yet. I’m running around like crazy - Brussels - NYC. I’ll get something together soon. Also, I’ll make sure to send this information to the meetup group.
