Triad Web Meetup As many of you know, I organize the Triad Web Meetup and we meet once a month to discuss various web topics. We’ve just teamed up with the Computer Science / Mathematics Department at High Point University and will be holding our next event at the campus.

What: Linking Thoughts - What is blogging all about?
When: November, 8th 2006 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Where: High Point University, Congdon Hall - Room 138

Sean Coon and I will be giving you the 411 on blogging, why it’s important, and ways you can benefit from it. You’ll see the power of blogging through examples and learn why blogging is like (and better than) word-of-mouth communication.

    John,
    I just wanted to say thanks again for the presentation. I think I have sold my company on the benefits of blogging in regards to search engine optimization. I especially enjoyed the bit about tagging and naming conventions for posts. After playing with wordpress for about 5 minutes last night I learned how to add wordpress elements into the existing site. They make it quite simple.

    Brandon, I really appreciate you coming and glad to hear you gained so much from the presentation. Nice to know that Wordpress is working well for you. I think it’s a fantastic tool and love how we can customize it as developers. Hope to see you at the next presentation!

    I got your presentation encoded and ready to do what you want. I can burn it to a cd or dvd. Whenever you want to pick it up give me a call. Great job that you and Sean put together, you convinced me to keep it going.
